Petplan Veterinary Awards 2020 winners announced

The winners of the Petplan Veterinary Awards 2020 were recently announced during a virtual ceremony on Facebook, hosted by Gyles Brandreth. The awards celebrated England’s exceptional vets, practices, nurses, practice managers and support staff who were among the thirty-seven thousand nominations made by their clients and colleagues.

The winners were Practice Support Staff of the Year, Dawn Prime from Wherry Veterinary Clinic; Practice Manager of the Year, Martin McGovern from Fenaghy Veterinary Clinic; Vet Nurse of the Year, Claire Shepherd from Parker and Crowther and Vet of the Year, Lindsay Henry from 1039 Kessock Equine Vets.

Head of partnerships and sales, Petplan, James Barnes, stated: “We hope everyone enjoyed the event and celebrated in style at home. Now more than ever it’s important to recognise the lengths the veterinary community goes to in looking after our pets and it felt particularly special this year to be able to say thank you to the veterinary profession at this difficult time.
