Pfizer and BioNTech states that their COVID-19 vaccine is more than 90% effective.

A milestone has been reached as large-scale trials of the Pfizer/ BioNTech COVID-19 has been proclaimed to stop ninety per cent of people getting infected with the virus.

This comes when regulators have indicated that a vaccine that is only fifty per cent effective will be approved.

Approximately forty-three thousand and five hundred people throughout six nations have been screened for the vaccine, and no significant side effects have been reported so far.

The Chairman of Pfizer, Dr Albert Bourla, stated: “We are a significant step closer to providing people around the world with a much-needed breakthrough to help bring an end to this global health crisis.”
