P&G achieves 2020 goal and sets new CSDW Programme goal for 2025

18th March 2019

Procter & Gamble has achieved its 2020 goal of delivering 15 billion litres of clean drinking water through its Children’s Safe Drinking Water Program, and has now set a new goal for 2025 of delivering 25 billion litres worldwide, in collaboration with CARE, Save the Children, Walmart International and World Vision. The company’s achievements in providing access to clean water since the launch of its CSDW Programme in 2004 are completely changing communities for the better by delivering education, economic opportunities and better health. P&G has worked with many partners to raise awareness of the global water crisis and provide water to families in over 90 countries across the world through a simple purification process. In about half an hour, one purification packet, a bucket, a stick and a clean cloth can turn 10 litres of dirty, polluted water into clean, drinkable water.
David Taylor, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of P&G, said: “We are proud to have reached this 15 billion liter milestone and inspired by the opportunity to make an even greater impact through our new goal. This life-changing technology has helped many families over the past 15 years, and we’re eager to help even more in the years to come.”
