Pharmacists Provided with HEE Funded Prescriber Training
For community pharmacists, even those who are self-employed, have a new opportunity should they aspire to become a registered practitioner with the authority to hand out prescriptions. They can now take advantage of subsidised training opportunities provided by Health Education England (HEE).
Pharmacy workers who wish to take part will have access to nearly 3000 individual prescribing training locations starting next month.
In recent times, pharmacies have been increasingly trying to expand their offerings within developing therapeutic systems. This program leaves pharmacists equipped to help patients from initial assessments through prescribing, guidance, follow-up, and medical treatment.
Furthermore, it will boost their self-assurance and leave them ready to take on these increased responsibilities.
Training opportunities will begin from April until March next year, dependant on when the universities choose to run the courses and how many cohorts they choose to engage with.
