Philips and Atom Medical to collaborate on perinatal care

25th November 2010

Philips has announced that it will be collaborating with Atom Medical Corporation to offer an expanded range of perinatal care solutions.

The alliance will see the two companies jointly distribute a wide array of products and technologies including neonatal patient monitoring, neonatal incubators and warmers, jaundice management and therapeutic support products.

It will combine Philips' recognised expertise in the area of medical technology with Atom's knowledge of the thermoregulation solutions field.

Initially, this distribution arrangement will apply to the US and selected European markets before being expanded at a later date.

David Russell, general manager for perinatal care at Philips Healthcare, said: "This alliance bolsters our leading market position, providing an opportunity for continued and broader development of perinatal care solutions with access to additional markets."

Earlier this month, Philips announced that it will be working with the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease to assist in efforts to combat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease globally.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800256440-ADNFCR
