Philips becomes King’s Fund corporate partner

Philips has announced that it has joined the corporate partnership programme of The King's Fund in order to support its goal of improving UK healthcare standards.

Having acted as a corporate supporter of the charity group over the last two years, Philips joined the exclusive corporate partnership programme in September 2012 and will ally with The King's Fund to develop a programme of joint activity around areas of mutual interest.

It will share insights with the fund on how it can meet the growing demands of the healthcare system, drawing upon its expertise in the fields of healthcare, lighting and consumer lifestyle innovations.

Neil Mesher, managing director at Philips Healthcare for the UK and Ireland, said: "We are delighted to be supporting The King's Fund as a corporate partner with the common goal of improving healthcare for people, whether it be in their own homes or in the hospital setting."

Last week, the company won praise from Harefield Hospital after the medical facility chose to invest in a Philips Allura Xper FD10 cardiovascular system.
