Philips highlights success of Imaging 2.0
Philips has revealed new information and product testimony that underlines the success of its Imaging 2.0 product concept.
Attending the 2012 European Congress of Radiology a year after introducing the project, evidence from more than 60 scientific studies worldwide has been presented by Philips to demonstrate its positive repercussions.
The Imaging 2.0 initiative centres on the rollout of advanced new technology that helps to promote greater collaboration and integration of services among radiologists and other physicians, thus improving care quality and saving money.
Facilities such as the University Hospital CHUV in Lausanne and the GPR Klinikum in Russelsheim implemented this model upon investing in new Philips devices, and have been able to treat patients faster and more effectively as a result.
The manufacturer aims to support the concept further this year through the launch of new products such as the updated iU22 xMATRIX ultrasound system and a faster iDose4 scanner.
Peter Reimer, general manager for imaging systems at Philips Healthcare's international sales and services division, said: "We've been excited to see how … the Imaging 2.0 concept has helped to inspire and drive greater collaboration and integration among radiologists, encourage an increased patient focus and enhance economic value."
