Philips launches new Aging Well Services initiative
Philips has announced the launch of Aging Well Services, a new initiative that aims to provide personalised connected health offerings for older people.
A gradually expanding set of offerings, including personalised services, solutions and content, will be introduced to help guide and support seniors and their caregivers towards higher-quality independent living.
To support this aim, the company is establishing an ecosystem of partners to help bring the relevant innovations to market, with telerehabilitation company RespondWell confirmed as the first member.
RespondWell will be working to create a new offering that uses an online gamified approach to rehabilitation, with on-screen digital instructors and incentives. This will help seniors who are recuperating from surgery or injuries to track and accelerate their own recovery in a way that can be monitored by clinicians.
Kimberly O'Loughlin, senior vice-president and general manager of Philips Home Monitoring, said: "We will offer a broader portfolio of personalised services and solutions for seniors, caregivers and clinicians with the aim to improve outcomes, quality of life and reduce care costs."
