Philips vascular interventional system to benefit Frimley Park Hospital
Philips' Allura Xper FD20 vascular interventional system is to be utilised by Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to improve its services.
The organisation has chosen to replace one of its X-ray machines at the medical facility with the Philips device, which comes equipped with the latest 3D-RA and XperCT software packages.
It will be used for all vascular and interventional work conducted by Frimley Park Hospital, particularly in endovascular applications, and will allow the site to conduct complex minimally-invasive procedures such as endovascular aneurysm repairs.
Philip Ramsey, radiology services manager at the hospital, praised the device for its image quality and speed, as well as its user-friendly design and operation.
David Tolhurst, project manager at Philips, added: "We're very excited to see Frimley Park Hospital benefit from the many advantages the Philips Allura Xper FD20 offers over existing X-ray systems."
In January 2011, Philips published its financial report for 2010, highlighting a ten percent year-on-year growth in sales.
