PM Society hires comms partners to bolster marketing sector support

10th September 2012

New communications partners have been chosen by the PM Society as its aims to improve its range of support services.

The not-for-profit organisation, which is dedicated to promoting pharmaceutical marketing excellence, has hired independent consultant Carys Thomas Ampofo – formerly of Ash Healthcare – and digital specialist Loop and Layer.

After winning a pair of three-way pitches, they will be tasked with developing and implementing a multichannel strategy to engage further with current members and extend the society's reach.

It comes in response to the growing complexity of the modern healthcare marketing industry, with drug companies transitioning from being arms-length suppliers to partners in the delivery of healthcare.

Neil Copping, chair of the PM Society's executive committee, said: "Our aim in their appointment is to increase awareness of the issues facing pharmaceutical marketers and their colleagues and the wealth of resources that the PM Society has to meet their needs."

The PM Society was founded in 1976 and now has more than 1,400 active members from more than 230 companies.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801446038-ADNFCR
