Porter Novelli sponsors medical communications conference

18th August 2010

Porter Novelli is sponsoring and participating in an industry conference this week which aims to discuss a number of issues affecting the healthcare communications sector.

The media agency has partnered with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to plan the Convergence 2010 event in Atlanta, which gathers representatives from the business, academic, regulatory and practitioner community.

It is also participating in a number of panel discussions taking place at the conference, addressing issues such as providing education on smoking cessation and MRSA, as well as how to deliver communications to diverse audiences.

According to Porter Novelli, the meeting will help to highlight the increasing unification between different methodologies in communication, marketing and media.

The company added that it "seeks to further promote this convergence of purpose, programmes and partners, examine its impact on both processes and outcomes, and inspire dialogue across disciplines".

Earlier this month, the company's executive vice-president and global director of digital strategy Stephanie Agresta was recognised by PRWeek for the key role she has played in closing the gap between traditional and digital marketing strategies.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800030513-ADNFCR
