PracticeWorks changes name to Carestream Dental

PracticeWorks has changed its name to Carestream Dental as of the beginning of this month as part of a wider corporate rebranding.

The company has amended its branding after more than two decades in order to fall in line with the rest of owner Carestream Health's global dental businesses, which will also be adopting the Carestream Dental name.

According to the firm, the change to a unified and consistent brand name will allow it to support the needs of clients across all dental business divisions more effectively, without affecting the quality of its products and services.

It added that the change will not affect its status as the exclusive manufacturer of Kodak-branded dental systems.

Patrik Eriksson, president and chief executive officer of Carestream Dental, said: "United as Carestream Dental, we will continue to provide best-in-class digital imaging and practice management software solutions, while our customers will reap the many benefits of an international brand."

Earlier this year, the company expanded its range of products and services with the acquisition of fellow dental imaging software company Windent from Healthsoft.
