Prism Ideas chief named among industry’s most inspirational figures

Prism Ideas has welcomed news that its chief executive officer (CEO) Dr James Sawyer has been named one of the pharmaceutical industry's 100 most inspirational people.

Readers of PharmaVOICE magazine voted the business leader to its prestigious rankings thanks to his work in founding Prism Ideas, as well as his contributions to the advancement of medical research over the years.

Dr Sawyer's career has spanned almost two decades, during which time he has held a wide variety of clinical positions and contributed to more than 50 publications across therapeutic areas including migraine, bone metabolism, asthma and HIV.

Since forming Prism Ideas in 2001, he has been able to lead the company to significant growth, delivering projects for a client base of around 40 pharmaceutical firms.

The CEO said he is "surprised and delighted" to receive the accolade, while giving thanks to the support he has received from his team.

Prism Ideas' non-executive chairman Nigel Brooksby added: "I have worked with many physicians and have found his entrepreneurial skills and thorough understanding of the medical profession to be unique."
