Procter and Gamble announces collaboration with i2 Solutions

Procter & Gamble (P&G) has signed a partnership with i2 Solutions, it has announced.

The deal will see the company’s products distributed across North America, as part of its partner’s i2 FreightMatrix solution.

Commenting on the collaboration, i2 senior vice-president of global logistics Razat Gaurav said the need to be an efficient delivering organisation was “imperative”.

He added: “Loyalty to your brand can only be delivered through differentiation in service provided.

“Built on the best practices of our large and global customer base, our transportation solutions deliver the business results our customers need.”

Earlier this month, P&G said it had reached a settlement with Fruit of the Earth, regarding the accusation of patent infringement against the latter.

Filed on December 12th 2007, the lawsuit surrounded the company’s Olay Regenerist brands.

As a result of the settlement, Fruit of the Earth and P&G have agreed to a consent judgment, which will see the validity of P&G’s rights recognised.
