Procter and Gamble hire Dr James Russell as Oral-B ambassador

Procter and Gamble have recruited media personality Dr James Russell to act as an ambassador for its Oral-B dental brand.

Dr Russell, who appears on the primetime Channel 4 TV programme Embarrassing Bodies, will be working on behalf of the company to promote the health and money-saving benefits of an appropriate oral care regime.

Procter and Gamble stated that the medical expert has "exceptional" dental credentials and will help to raise the profile of the Oral-B brand.

Helen Johnson, oral care business leader for the company, said: "His work with Channel 4's Embarrassing Bodies will help to heighten awareness of our campaigns and the importance of using good quality products to help achieve and maintain good oral health."

Procter and Gamble's Oral-B unit is currently holding a series of seminars across the UK to provide dentists with continuing professional development opportunities.

Dentistry.co.uk reported that ten of these events are to take place, with the first being held earlier this month at the Imperial Hotel in Torquay.
