Procter and Gamble makes available proxy materials

Procter & Gamble has announced the availability of its 2008 annual meeting proxy materials.

Interested parties will be able to download these documents from the company’s website via the notice and access model provided in the proxy rules of the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

“The proxy materials delivered under this new model include the 2008 Notice of Annual Meeting, the Proxy Statement and the 2008 Annual Report,” the company said.

It added the adoption of this model is expected to deliver cost savings and sustainability benefits.

The company said the online availability of its annual report would offer readers new multimedia content and functionality.

Procter & Gamble supplies pharmacies with product from a number of its leading brands, including Gillette and Actonel.

Earlier this week, Procter & Gamble sold the global rights to Dantrium (dantrolene sodium) to SpePharm and JHP Pharmaceuticals.
