Procter and Gamble to donate Oral-B toothbrush proceeds to charity
Procter and Gamble is to make donations to the dental charity Dentaid based on the sales of Oral-B toothbrushes over the next two months.
Throughout October and November 2010, the health and personal care firm will provide a donation for every Cross Action Complete or a Complete Clean manual toothbrush purchased, reports Dentistry.co.uk.
Proceeds from the scheme will be used by Dentaid to support oral health initiatives in poverty-stricken Bangladesh.
Moreover, Procter and Gamble has committed to making a minimum donation that will cover the cost of creating two dental surgeries, two portable dental kits and a training and education programme.
Razi Hyder, leader of Oral-B's professional team in the UK, expressed confidence that consumers will support the campaign.
The representative added: "This is an opportunity for us as an organisation to make a lasting difference."
In August 2010, Procter and Gamble introduced a range of new Crest and Oral-B products under the Pro-Health For Me brand, which are designed especially for children.
