Procter and Gamble’s Oral-B brushes win award nomination

17th November 2010

Procter and Gamble's Oral-B branded power toothbrushes have been named among the candidates for dental product of the year by Dentistry.co.uk.

The industry publication has included the oscillating-rotating power brush range in the oral heath category in its annual awards, due to the benefits it provides in safeguarding the overall gingival health of patients.

This recognition comes after the Oral-B range was accredited earlier this year by the British Dental Health Foundation (BDHF), making them the only adult-specified power brushes to receive this recognition.

It followed an assessment from a panel of independent international experts, who verified Procter and Gamble's claims over the devices' health benefits.

Dr Nigel Carter, chief executive of the BDHF, said: "The range of power brushes from Oral-B has been shown to effectively and efficiently reduce plaque – their claims are 100 percent accurate."

Other leading dental brands from Procter and Gamble include Crest toothpaste and toothbrushes, Fixodent denture adhesive and the Glide dental floss range.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800241412-ADNFCR
