Purina announces “nutritional breakthrough”

Purina has announced that its scientists have made a “nutritional breakthrough” that dog lovers across the world are likely to welcome.

In a statement, the organisation explained that the discovery is based around a special blend of enhanced botanical oils that help to augment brain function in older canines.

The company noted that the technology responsible for the innovation is neuron-targeted nutrition, which offers an alternate energy source that can help older animals’ brain cells to operate in a manner similar to when they were younger.

Commenting on the discovery, Chris O’Neil, Purina One brand manager, said: “We take great pride in developing a nutritional solution that helps improve brain function and promotes overall quality of life for ageing dogs.”

Earlier this month, the company offered a year’s supply of its Mighty Dog canine food as a prize in a competition that has been supported by actress, presenter and dog enthusiast Maria Menounos.
