Qiagen launches new series of next-generation sequencing products

Qiagen has announced the launch of a number of next-generation sequencing (NGS) products that will help to address some of the most significant productivity bottlenecks faced by scientists.

By accelerating the processes involved in sample preparation and bioinformatics, the new portfolio of universal solutions will enable NGS users to generate more valuable insights from any sample.

Among the new offerings are the new GeneRead DNA FFPE Kit, REPLI-g WTA Single Cell Kit, REPLI-g Cell WGA and WTA Kit, and Exosome sample-preparation kits, all of which can enhance sample preparation.

Meanwhile, the company is introducing bioinformatics solutions such as the CLC Cancer Research Workbench and Ingenuity Clinical online tool. A new line of GeneRead DNAseq panels will also be launched later this year.

Peer Schatz, chief executive officer of Qiagen, said: "Universal products support any NGS platform – with capabilities to allow the processing of even the most difficult samples and to seamlessly integrate the analysis and interpretation of sequencing data."

Last month, the company announced a new alliance with Exosome Diagnostics to create new tools to aid in the diagnosing and treatment of cancer.
