Qiagen launches online tool for sample and assay solutions

Qiagen has launched a new online tool to help customers choose the most appropriate sample and assay solutions for specific application requirements.

The company says the interactive tool is the first of its kind and covers Qiagen’s 500 sample and assay products for its standard protocols and "most special applications".

It works by prompting users to answer five to eight questions online, which will then take customers the most appropriate product for their needs.

Birgit Jostes, senior global director corporate strategy and marketing, commented: "Qiagen not only provides innovative products, but also corresponding support solutions for their optimal use.

"Many users in labs are quite often uncertain as to what product to choose for their applications. With our new ProductFinder they now have free and unlimited access to a complete new, updated and comprehensive selection tool."

Qiagen adds that the database has a variety of "sound" recommendations based on its own experience in life research, which are accessible to more than 400,000 customers.

The company has a roster of more than 500 proprietary, consumable products and automated solutions for sample detection.
