Quintiles appoints new consulting group leader
Quintiles has appointed industry veteran Troy Norris to a key role in its Quintiles Consulting business unit.
Mr Norris has been named vice-president and managing director for the business' product development and commercialisation practice, where he will focus on issues such as portfolio management, clinical transformation, asset valuation and transactions, reports InPharm.
Before joining the company, the newly appointed staff member has held life science-related roles at prominent strategy consulting firms such as McKinsey and Co, LEK Consulting and Trinity Partners.
He is also the former vice-president of corporate development for Biogen Idec, a role that saw him help to oversee various acquisitions to diversify the company's research and development portfolio.
Earlier this month, Quintiles named Dr Jeffrey Spaeder, formerly of Takeda and Abbott, as its new chief medical and scientific officer.
He will serve as the business' lead medical expert and will represent its position on a number of governance, ethical and scientific issues.
