Radleys launch new heating block

23rd April 2008

Radleys has launched a new rapid heating block for round bottom flasks.

The laboratory equipment supplier claims the Heat-On blocks are affordable and designed to work with all popular makes of stirring hotplate.

A company statement said: "Offering a simple and elegant way of eliminating the inherent mess and safety issues associated with using oil baths and heating mantles, a growing number of laboratories have adopted Heat-On blocks as their preferred way of conducting heated reactions."

It claims that the non-stick blocks are easy to set up and offer both rapid heating and cooling reactions that significantly improve productivity.

The company was formed in 1963 when Bill and Iris Radley set-up a glassblowing workshop in Epping, Essex.

It has since expanded and now claims to be a niche supplier of laboratory equipment focusing on its own areas of expertise enabling the firm to add benefits to the products and services it offers.
