Rain Communications hired for new British Red Cross campaign

25th September 2014

Rain Communications has won a new brief with the British Red Cross, centring on the launch of a new marketing campaign themed around the First World War.

The initiative is designed to commemorate the centenary of the global conflict, when Red Cross volunteers hosted the first ever pop-up charity shops known as Gift Houses. As part of this project, a new Gift House will be launched in Covent Garden, reports PRWeek.

To be open for two weeks from November 7th, the Gift House is designed to drive donations across the charity's 330 shops across the UK, bolstering their stock ahead of the Christmas period.

Rain Communications is advising on retail location, fashion industry relations and fashion media programmes for this campaign.

Delia Hyde, chief executive officer of Rain Communications, said: "This is a terrific brief for Rain and a fantastic campaign to kickstart the retail donation drive for the British Red Cross this Christmas."

The charity group has existed since 1870 and provides aid to people worldwide affected by conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801750605-ADNFCR
