Reckitt Benckiser adds Aegis and IPG to global agency roster

Reckitt Benckiser has announced the addition of Aegis and the Interpublic Group (IPG) to the roster of PR agencies it deals with on a global basis.

The health and personal care firm recently conducted a global review of its media planning and buying business, handing Aegis responsibility for its US operations, while IPG will handle India, Malaysia, Singapore and Bangladesh, in addition to its existing responsibilities in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Slovakia.

Havas and ZenithOptimedia will continue to work with Reckitt Benckiser on various global initiatives, while Publicis has also been re-appointed as the company's media partner in the UK.

Heather Allen, the company's executive vice-president of global category development, said: "Reckitt Benckiser is one of the world's fastest-growing companies in consumer health, hygiene and home and we're looking forward to successful growth with our agency partners and us going forward."

The company has been operating for more than 150 years and distributes its products to almost 200 countries worldwide.
