Reckitt Benckiser expresses satisfaction with Q3 2014 performance

22nd October 2014

Reckitt Benckiser has hailed its 'robust' performance during the third quarter of 2014, during which it delivered strong results in a challenging business climate.

The company's net revenue total for the period came to 2.37 billion pounds, representing year-on-year growth of two percent on a constant exchange rate basis. For the year to date, the figure stands at 7.04 billion pounds.

Strong performances from regions such as Europe, Turkey and Africa were observed, with health operations proving particularly successful, while the firm's efficiency programmes are also progressing well.

Thanks to these trends, plus the progress being made on the demerger of the pharmaceuticals business, the firm expects to achieve its goal of between four and five percent growth for the full year.

Rakesh Kapoor, chief executive officer of Reckitt Benckiser, said: "Looking ahead, our objective remains to deliver growth which outperforms our markets, although conditions will remain challenging."

This comes after the firm was recently named as the industry leader in the household products category in the latest Dow Jones Sustainability Index.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801755931-ADNFCR
