Red Health Appoints Avril Lee to lead London Team

To cover managing director Rebecca Ferguson’s maternity leave, Avril Lee has been appointed by Red Consultancy to manage the day to day leadership of the agency’s health comms division, and lead the strategic development of its health operation.
With more than 20 years’ experience in corporate and brand comms, Avril has worked for a number of top pharma, biotech and health companies throughout her career. Starting at CPR as a senior account executive, Lee took a role at Hill+Knowlton where she excelled and became a board director. Her next move saw her as a consultant for Chandler Chicco Agency before she moved to Ketchum, where she stayed for a number of years progressing from a managing director of healthcare, to becoming chief executive of the London office.
Avril then left to become a director at Luther Pentagon, and then two years later, she joined MSL Group as managing director of its UK and EMEA health team. She joins Red Consultancy from Burson-Marsteller, where she was recently deputy global healthcare practice chair and was seconded to Vertex Pharmaceuticals as director of comms for the North Region.

Avril will lead the work of Red’s pharmaceutical and healthcare clients which include Boehringer Ingelheim, Celgene and Sanofi.
