Reorganisation and change of staff at Sanofi
Sanofi has created a new Primary Care global business unit focussing only on mature markets. It will consist of the existing Diabetes and Cardiovascular global business unit and Established Products, which will break away from the General Medicines & Emerging Markets division to form the new business unit. It will be led by Dieter Weinand who will leave his post as Bayer’s head of pharma division and will be replaced at Bayer by Sanofi’s current executive vice president Diabetes and Cardiovascular global business unit, Stefan Oelrich.
There is also a new China and Emerging Markets division business to help growth, and this will be led by the current head of General Medicines & Emerging Markets division, Olivier Charmeil.
