ResMed achieves strong performance in fourth quarter of 2015

ResMed has announced encouraging financial results for the fourth and final quarter of its 2015 business year, which concluded on June 30th.

Its revenue for the quarter was $453.1 million (290.14 million pounds), up by nine percent year over year or 17 percent on a constant currency basis.

Key highlights of the period included the greater than 50 percent flow generator growth seen in the Americas and the return to growth of its mask business, as well as the acquisitions of CareTouch and Curative Medical.

The latter deal was announced this week and will help ResMed expand its presence in the Chinese market, while bolstering its respiratory care and sleep apnoea product portfolios.

Revenue for the year ended June 30th was $1.7 billion, an eight percent increase on last year, or 13 percent on a constant currency basis.

Mick Farrell, ResMed's chief executive officer, said: "Our global team ended fiscal year 2015 with a strong $1.7 billion in revenues as we continue to drive towards our goal of changing 20 million lives by 2020."
