ResMed agrees deal to acquire Jaysec
ResMed has announced that it will be acquiring the Tennessee-based medical solutions firm Jaysec.
Headquartered in Knoxville, the company supplies internet-based software solutions for the home medical equipment industry, helping service operators to resupply their patients and communicate with referring medical providers.
Its automated resupply solution GoJaysec uses interactive voice, text and secured email communication functions to direct patients to a self-service portal for easy authorisation of various home medical equipment resupplies.
The company currently serves nearly 100 HME customers in the US. Following the takeover, ResMed will assume responsibility for supplying Jaysec products.
Raj Sodhi, president of ResMed's healthcare informatics global business unit, said: "We're excited to bring Jaysec into the ResMed fold, and we look forward to supporting existing and new customers alike."
Last month, ResMed announced its financial results for the second quarter of its 2015 fiscal year, during which it achieved year-on-year revenue growth of ten percent.
