Retirements leave gaps in VMG board
The Veterinary Management Group, a support and representative body for veterinary professionals working in leadership or management roles, is now down to nine members following the retirement of three long-standing directors. Recently appointed president, Gillian Page, said: “We are entering a new and exciting phase of our development, and are seeking the experience and expertise of individuals with a passion for veterinary leadership and management to help us widen our appeal, reach and membership. Experience in marketing is of particular value to us, but we are also interested in adding other skills and experience to the team.”
Board member have their personal expenses reimbursed, and are required to attend quarterly meetings, a strategy planning away day and the VMG annual congress in January. Interested applicants must be VMG members and working in a leadership or management role in a veterinary practice or related business. They are required to prepare a written statement, summarising in no more than 300 words why they wish to be considered, and outlining relevant experience and their proposed contribution. This should be emailed to office@vetmg.com by 28 February.
