Roche appoints new head of human resources
Roche has announced the appointment of Cristina Wilbur as its new head of human resources and member of the corporate executive committee.
Her appointment follows the news that Silvia Ayyoubi, the current occupant of this role, will be retiring from Roche following its next annual general meeting, which is scheduled for March 2016.
Ms Ayyoubi joined Roche in 1987 and held several positions of growing responsibility in human resources, taking up the position she is about to vacate in March 2008.
Meanwhile, Ms Wilbur presently serves as head of human resources for Roche's global diagnostics division, having previously fulfilled the same role in a US-centric capacity. She has been with the company since 2002.
Christoph Franz, chairman of Roche, said: "Silvia Ayyoubi has created and led an effective global human resources function, enabling Roche to attract and develop the most talented people worldwide."
The company achieved year-on-year growth of five percent on a constant exchange rate basis during 2015, according to its most recent financial report.
