Roche launches Cobas e 801 module in Europe

Roche has announced the European launch of its new dedicated high-volume testing immunoassay solution, the Cobas e 801 module.

The newest member of the Cobas 8000 modular analyser series offers more than 100 immunoassays spanning a wide range of disease areas, and has received European CE Mark approval.

Up to four Cobas e 801 modules can be configured in series, and the module also allows for continuous loading of reagents and consumables, with a high uptime and reduced hands-on time.

Turnaround times for routine and emergency samples are the lowest available among products in the central laboratory market, with estimated 18-minute times for routine tests and nine minutes for emergency tests.

Moreover, it almost doubles the currently available immunochemistry testing capacity on the same footprint, requiring only a low sample volume. The device provides fast, reliable and consistent patient results across a range of systems.
