Roche to present new drug data at ESMO 2012
Roche has announced that it will be presenting data on number of new and established products at the European Society for Medical Oncology Congress in Vienna.
The event, which runs from September 28th to October 2nd 2012, will give the company an opportunity to share data on 13 of its products, including information on personalised medicines from its HER2-positive breast and skin cancer franchises.
Phase III trial data will demonstrate the efficacy and performance of breast cancer therapies such as Herceptin and trastuzumab emtansine, while other presentations will discuss key information on the skin cancer therapy Zelboraf.
Dr Hal Barron, chief medical officer and head of global product development at Roche, said: "The improvement in survival with trastuzumab emtansine and other data presented at ESMO reflect our commitment to make a real difference for people living with cancer."
This comes after the company received a European Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use recommendation for approval of Avastin as a therapy for ovarian cancer earlier this week.
