Roche to present new Esbriet data at ERS 2015
Roche has announced that it will be presenting new clinical data on its idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) Esbriet at the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress.
Taking place in Amsterdam from September 26th to 30th, the event will see Roche present nine different abstracts discussing IPF drug data, as well as sponsoring two medical symposia to explore treatment strategies in IPF and to highlight the importance of personalised medicines for people with severe asthma.
Experts will speak about new IPF management guidelines and Esbriet clinical data at a media event, independently organised by Roche, which is open to European journalists.
Dr Sandra Horning, Roche's chief medical officer and head of global product development, said: "Our focus at this meeting will be on new data with Esbriet in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and the emerging science on the importance of personalised medicines for severe asthma."
Esbriet was cited as a strong commercial performer and a key driver of commercial growth during the first six months of 2015.
