Sandoz head named in Fortune’s top 40 Under 40

Sandoz has announced that global head of the company Jeff George is in Fortune magazine's annual 40 Under 40 list this year.

The executive was ranked at number nine on the list, which indentifies the magazine's top 40 young business leaders across a variety of global industries.

Mr George has headed up Sandoz since 2008, having previous held roles in the vaccines and diagnostics division at Novartis.

According to a statement from the firm, his achievements at Sandoz include helping the generics company to post double-digit revenue growth and driving advancements in the "differentiated products strategy, particularly in the field of biosimilars".

Fortune describes its 40 Under 40 list as the "hottest young stars in business across the globe".

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is number one in this year's rankings, followed by Google co-founder Larry Page and Greg Jensen of the world's largest hedge fund Bridgewater Associates.
