Sanofi appoint new Chief Executive Officer
Paul Hudson, head of Novartis’ pharma division, is set to replace Sanofi’s CEO Olivier Brandicourt upon his retirement on 1st September 2019 after over 4 years in the post. Mr Hudson brings 28 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry, having worked at the likes of Schering-Plough and AstraZeneca before joining Novartis.
Sanofi’s chairman Serge Weinberg said: “We are very pleased that Paul Hudson has agreed to join Sanofi. His skills and experience give him all the assets he needs to accelerate growth and lead the group’s adaptation to new strategic challenges, particularly in the areas of Research and Development and digital.”
