Sanofi-aventis has revealed the latest results from testing of its rimonabant product at an industry event staged by the American Diabetes Association in San Francisco.

“The Arpeggio trial demonstrated that there is still room for significant improvement in diabetic patients who despite several years of standard therapies,” said Priscilla L Hollander, coordinating investigator of the study.
Sanofi-aventis claims to be among the leading pharmaceutical firms in Europe and boasts a global workforce of around 100,000 people.
