Sartorius ranked second among German companies

8th May 2007

Sartorius has been honoured for its consistent market orientation by BBDO-Consulting and the University of Bremen.

A collaborative study by the institutions placed the firm second on the list of best market-oriented joint stock corporations in Germany.

Sartorius’ success in translating unspoken customer needs into tailored solutions was identified as one of the reasons that the firm was honoured, reports Laboratory Talk.

Martin Schyga, vice president of sales and marketing lab instruments for Sartorius, commented: "Consistent market orientation has enjoyed a long tradition at Sartorius; therefore, we are especially happy about receiving this award."

"At our company, the majority of our new products are developed in close cooperation with our customers. This also makes them and, therefore us, successful," he added.

Meanwhile, figures for Sartorius for the first quarter suggest that intake rose by 5.7 per cent to a figure of £95.64 million.

The results come as antitrust authorities in Germany, the US and Spain unconditionally clear the acquisition of Stedium Biosystems by Sartorius.
