Sartorius Stedim Biotech to launch fully integrated upstream platform

Sartorius Stedim Biotech has announced the launch of a fully integrated technology platform for use in upstream bioprocessing applications.

The new platform combines a top-performing expression system with high-end equipment and process control functionality, allowing for the rapid development and scale-up of robust, high-titer commercial manufacturing processes.

It brings together a number of products and services from Sartorius Stedim Biotech, including the royalty-free Cellca CHO expression platform, the automated ambr15 micro bioreactor system, and more than 100 off-the-shelf and pre-qualified assays from BioOutsource.

Biopharmaceutical manufacturers will be able to reach the clinic in 14 months by taking advantage of the benefits of this new platform.

The launch of the new platform will help to drive further growth and success for Sartorius, which recently opened a new plant at its Stonehouse site in Gloucestershire and doubled its local production capacity.
