Schering Plough shuffles pack with internal changes
Schering-Plough has announced a number of restructuring moves, which has seen the appointment of a new group vice president and changes in executive financial positions at the company.
Gregory J Szpunar has been named group vice president of global project management at the Schering-Plough Research Institute, meaning he is now responsible for a global project management function for the company’s product development and commercialisation.
Elsewhere, two other positions have been filled, with David A Piacquad being appointed senior vice president of business development and Steven H Koehler being elected vice president and controller of Schering-Plough.
“These changes are designed to further strengthen the global finance team, which continues to play an important role in the transformation of Schering-Plough,” said Fred Hassan, chairman and chief executive officer, about the appointment of Mr Piacquad and the election of Mr Koehler.
In addition, both Mr Piacquad and Mr Koehler have been appointed to the operations management team.
