Shimadzu Scientific Instruments Launches New US-Based Facility for Research and Development

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments has launched a new facility for research and development located in the United States.  

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is a leading manufacturer of analytical and measuring instruments, headquartered in Kyoto, Japan. They provide a wide range of high-quality instruments and equipment used in various scientific fields, including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, environmental analysis, materials testing, and more.  

The facility spans three sites: a site at Shimadzu Scientific Instruments’ main office in Maryland, another centre on the East Coast near Boston, and a third on the West Coast.  

The facilities on the East and West Coasts will mainly focus on understanding the priorities of pharmaceutical firms.   

The facility in Maryland will primarily analyse prototypes in partnership with Shimadzu’s analytical and measuring instruments sector.  

This expansion will develop Shimadzu’s presence in the North American industry and build upon the services provided by the organisation’s US innovation facility.
