Shine Communications wins new contract with Weight Watchers
Shine Communications has been handed an initial 12-month brief for the global weight management brand Weight Watchers.
The agency won the contract following a four-way pitch and will be tasked with leading a brand reappraisal for the client, as well as targeting bloggers and media outlets through its press office work, reports PRWeek.
Founded in New York in the 1960s, Weight Watchers now operates in 20 markets globally, with more than 6,000 UK groups currently active.
Shine's managing director Lawrence Collis said: "Weight Watchers is one of the world's most recognisable lifestyle and healthy eating brands, so we're delighted to add them to our growing portfolio of clients."
Based in Clerkenwell, London, the agency employs more than 50 people and works with a number of high-profile clients, including eBay, Argos, Martini, Evian, British Airways, Volkswagen, Swatch and Sony.
It was nominated for two PRWeek Awards this year, honouring the quality of its work with Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust and Lil-lets.
