Siemens Healthineers launches TrueFusion application for Acuson SC2000
Siemens Healthineers has announced the launch of TrueFusion, a new application for the Acuson SC2000 cardiovascular ultrasound system to aid the treatment of structural heart disease.
The new feature integrates advanced ultrasound and angiographic images to facilitate improved navigation and guidance during structural heart disease interventions, with the aim of improving outcomes and reducing costs in cardiovascular care.
TrueFusion overlays ultrasound information with live fluoroscopy images, making it easier to identify soft tissue-based structures provided directly from the integrated ultrasound system. This allows echocardiographers and interventionists to communicate better and achieve more intuitive anatomical orientation during challenging procedures.
Moreover, the application can also help clinical teams to potentially reduce contrast usage and procedure times, as well as minimising patient and clinician X-ray exposure.
Philipp Fischer, general manager of Siemens Healthineers Cardiology, said: "For the high-innovation pace of novel procedures and devices in structural heart disease, we provide data and image integration for clinical decision support and real-time therapy guidance."
