Siemens introducing online instructions for clinical diagnostic products
Siemens has announced that it will be introducing online electronic instruction documents for its entire range of clinical diagnostic products.
The company will be eliminating the current paper package inserts included with each of its products and will instead make the instructional documentation available via the web-based Siemens Document Library.
This initiative is being launched following a successful trial of electronic instructions with its Advia Chemistry and Advia Centaur product offerings.
Siemens explained that this move will aid its corporate sustainability efforts and will result in the elimination of 200 net tonnes of paper usage on an annual basis.
It will also be of benefit to users, allowing them to instantly access directions for use for their Siemens products at any time and in any place with a secure internet connection.
Last week, the firm announced the launch of a simplified new scanning system for quality control data for its RAPIDPoint 300 blood gas analyser products, thus enabling greater ease of use.
