Siemens showcases reproductive health innovations at ACOG event

Siemens is showcasing new additions to its range of obstetric and gynaecological technology solutions at a forthcoming industry conference.

At the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) annual clinical meeting this week, the firm is demonstrating diagnostic and ultrasound products which aim to address reproductive health needs.

Among them are the manufacturer's new Loci fertility assays, which are optimised to deliver rapid results, as well as the easy-to-operate Immulite 1000 Immunoassay System.

Other innovations on display include the Acuson S2000 ultrasound system and the syngo.fourSight Workplace 3D imaging technology.

Dr Norbert Gaus, chief executive officer for Siemens Healthcare's ultrasound business unit, said: "Siemens offers a full spectrum of advanced clinical applications that address the special needs of obstetric/gynaecological ultrasound – both in terms of diagnostic confidence and workflow improvement."

This comes after the company demonstrated products including the Acuson S2000 at the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine annual convention, which was held last month.
