Siemens unveils new chromogenic assay

Siemens has announces the introduction of its new chromogenic assay – the INNOVANCE Antithrombin.

The ready-to-use product offers "accuracy and precision" with a liquid reagent that avoids interference with thrombin inhibitors and Heparin Cofactor II.

According to the company, it will also avoid the need for repeat testing via harmonised repeat interpretation and is to be made available for the BCS and BCS XP Systems, as well as the Sysmex CA-7000, CA-1500 and CA-500 systems.

INNOVANCE Antithrombin has a shelf life of 12 months (four weeks once open) and comes in two sizes to minimise waste. It is also colour-coded and labelled for efficiency and convenience, Siemens added.

The healthcare products group recently announced it had enhanced its website as part of a continuing effort to improve the quality of its online presence.

New features include an expanded product portfolio and more information in the services and education sections.
