Sigma-Aldrich’s chromatography division announces new moulded septa
Sigma-Aldrich’s chromatography division Supelco has announced the released of the new moulded Thermogreen LB-2 GC septa.
Supelco – a leading supplier of analysis and purification products for chromatography – described the new Thermogreen LB-2 septa ready to use, offering low bleed over inlet temperatures ranging from 100 to 350 degrees C and available with and without an injection hole.
The septa are made using the same rubber formulation used in the non-moulded Thermogreen LB-2 septa, "considered by many as the benchmark GC septa", according to Supelco, but can offer easier installation and a better seal.
Moulding also allows for an incorporated injection hole to enable needle penetration in the same place each time, which helps to reduce coring and septa fragments entering the injection port.
