Simplyhealth highlights its role in changing UK healthcare sector
Simplyhealth has said radical changes to the NHS will bring the company's products and services to the forefront in 2011.
The structure of the health service is set to begin a major overhaul next year, with GPs assuming control of commissioning services and people encouraged to take more personal responsibility for their wellbeing.
Jamie Wilson, sales and marketing director at Simplyhealth, said the company will need to adjust to the shifting healthcare landscape as it continues to provide affordable dental plans and medical insurance.
"As the NHS changes, our role will be brought into sharp focus and we must ensure we adapt," he commented.
Mr Wilson added that Simplyhealth will continue to ease the pressure on the NHS and provide additional choice for Britons by "being flexible, listening to our customers and responding to their needs".
The firm has been reflecting on another successful year, as it was named best health-related insurer at the Personal Finance Awards in November.
