Simplyhealth highlights strong 2014 financial performance
Simplyhealth has announced its financial results for 2014, during which time it enjoyed a strong performance in line with its strategic goals.
Over the year, it was able to generate a profit before tax of 9.7 million pounds, while retaining a profit of 6.4 million pounds. As a result, it was able to donate 1.4 million pounds to health-related charitable organisations, thereby helping more than two million people.
This comes after the firm carried out a major strategy review during 2014 that examined every aspect of the business to establish how best to serve customers.
Its Denplan division expanded its presence in the veterinary market, grew the number of people it serves to more than two million, and was named best dental plan provider at the Health Insurance Awards for a fifth consecutive year.
The firm also continued to expand its Independent Living retail arm, opening new stores in Droitwich and Norwich, while completing the acquisition of West Midlands-based Care and Mobility.
Romana Abdin, chief executive at Simplyhealth, said: "I believe that our success will come from forging strong partnerships and continuing to invest in the future, by taking responsible risks and focusing the efforts and talents of our people."
